Who are the Project Advisors?

Our Project Advisors are Carnegie Mellon students who have a passion for their work and who are excited to inspire students in the Pittsburgh community. They have a wide range of specific skills gained through their own project based work at CMU. They are a wonderful and enthusiastic group of people who can't wait to get to work with you! .


Executive Board

Name: Lily Klucinec

Graduation Year: 2025

Major: Electrical and Computer Engineering, Engineering and Public Policy

Interests: I love hiking, listening to new music, reading, and dabbling in photography.

Position: President

Fun Fact: I am from Pittsburgh and love to give restaurant recommendations!

Name: Trish Nhan

Graduation Year: 2025

Major: Economics and Politics

Interests: I am most interested in sustainable chemistry and environmental/health policy! I love to learn about philosophy and math as well. Outside of school, I love to play soccer, play video games (Valorant and Minecraft), and play piano. I like to think that I’m pretty good at ping pong.

Major: Civil Engineering

Interests: I love biking, lifting, painting, and camping

Major: Biology

Interests: I'm interesting in pursuing research in immunology, virology, and genetics. I'm pretty passionate about my major in biology at CMU.

Interests: I am very interested in design and digital art. I am a pole vaulter on the track and field team. I love cooking and baking.

Graduation Year: 2024

Major: Information Systems Management (emphasis on Business Intelligence & Data Analytics)

Interests: I like playing and analyzing any type of game, learning, and lifting weights.

Fun Fact: I studied pure mathematics in undergrad and love abstract ideas and proving things.

Name: David Chan

Graduation Year: 2026

Major: Electrical and Computer Engineering

Interests: I really enjoy the process of building things, both with hardware and software, so I am attracted to ECE by the ability to combine both, understanding both the circuits that allow our modern devices to work as well as the software programs we use to control them. Outside of school, I like building train models (like the little electric ones), watching baseball (go Giants!) and collecting stuffed animals :)

Interests: Art/design, human-computer interaction, baking

Name: Robby Famiglietti

Major: Biology

Interests: In my course of study, conducting research has been really interesting to me ever since I decided that being in the STEM field was what I wanted to do following high school. Modeling situations that are difficult to directly observe has also been something I’m interested in, which is why I would like to minor in comp. bio. Outside of college, I love the outdoors, and I love going hiking.

Fun Fact: I’m interested in pursuing and learning how to do graphic design as it’s something I enjoy doing casually.

Interests: Although I have an inclination towards software, I enjoy working with hardware aspects and pursue opportunities that allow the integration of both. Outside of STEM, I have a keen interest in public policy and literary analysis. In my free time, I enjoy solving picross and reading manga.

Fun Fact: I have a modest collection of shirts in the niche variety of "Snoopy branded aloha shirts.

Interests: I'm interested in the internet of things and robotics with the integration of software and hardware components. Outside of college, I enjoy hiking, exploring nature/outdoors, playing frisbee, reading, and watercolor painting.

Fun Fact: I love trying different kinds of new food, especially desserts, (and attempting baking recipes)!

Interests: Environmental sustainability/the economic impacts of climate change

Project Interests: My dream project is to work with students to explore the economic impacts climate change will have on vulnerable agricultural workers.
